Types of arthropods
There are 5 types
of branches of arthropods. And all of them came for one a single common
ancestor. One of those branches is extinct. It is the trilobites. The other 4
branches still exist until today and those for branches are crustaceans, insects,
chelicerates and myriapods.
This is the arthropods family tree. |
As it showed on the image above, all 5 branches of arthropods came from 1 single common ancestor.
Types of habitats
The habitats
of these arthropods are not always the same. This is because, as time had pass
arthropods had evolved to adapt toward their surroundings which is their habitats. Trilobites, Myriapods, Chelicerates, Crustaceans and some Insects live in watery habitats like sea, rivers and swamps. While some Myriapods, Chelicerates, some Crustaceans and Insects live on land. Like the desert, jungle and others.
